Just to thank you for a wonderful class last night. I nearly didn't come - the rush back from work on top of permanently high stress levels. I am so glad I did.
I don't think I have reached such a state of detachment before. It is a good class to be part of and the building is totally conducive to yoga.
So thank you.

Bridget [5 Feb 2008]

Since starting Iyengar yoga in September I have felt a difference in my neck, shoulders and arms in which I was experiencing problems and pain. I have felt a gradual improvement over the months.
Frances and other teachers at the Centre are very attentive to individual needs and help me to adjust postures so I get the most out of them.
I also recently attended a two and a half hour workshop with Frances. I was comfortable going at my own pace albeit it was challenging. The next day I felt amazing. I had loads of energy and my skin glowed.
Overall I feel many benefits from doing yoga - mental and physical and now I really miss it if I don’t go. Sheffield Yoga Centre is a friendly and very welcoming place.

My first class was a great experience, the teachers ran as a double act, one giving the instructions, the other walking around adjusting people and adding a bit of humour. Also it was nice to see that I was not the only man, pheeew and to finish it off I had relief from my upper back pain due to bad posture sitting in the office.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you. I came along to my first yoga session in January last year, not quite sure of what to expect, and not feeling particularly great mentally. The classes were excellent and really made a difference to me, helping to focus my mind. Without the classes I'm not sure how I would now be feeling.
I think I surprised myself by what I achieved in a few months - I never imagined I'd be doing shoulder stands!
I just want to pass on my thanks to Frances and everyone else at the centre, and wish you all a happy time over the coming weeks, and for the future.

I really feel attending yoga classes have helped me.
I had a heart attack a year ago which has compromised its function but have recently had a pulmonary function test which showed my results at 130% against predicted function. This increased capacity will really be of benefit & give me an improved prognosis.

Just a quick line to thank you and the SADIYA committee for inviting me to teach at your beautiful centre! I had a great time and have come back to Brum enthusing about your place and telling everyone how great it is ...
